Eagle scout project supports vets and s2s mission
Aidan Andrews of Boy Scout Troop 316 in Levittown / Fairless Hills, PA, recently completed the service for his Eagle Scout Project – collecting school supplies for children of veterans. With the help of his family, fellow scouts, leaders and friends book bags were filled with pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks and many more items.
Aidan worked tirelessly for more than eight months to raise money, solicit donations, and garner sponsors, even setting up a GoFundMe page for the project. Sponsors included Staples, Marino\WARE, the VFW, Christ United Methodist Church (Fairless Hills), Kiwanis Club, and Bristol Elks. He set a target of 200 filled backpacks, which he blew away by filling 700+ backpacks! These were delivered to Salute2Service to be passed out to the children of veterans on August 28th (S2S Annual Event). |
