Why do veterans need your help?
- An estimated 40,000+ U.S. veterans are homeless on any given night!
- Around 1.5 million veterans and their families live at or below the poverty line
- The VA assists up to 150,000 homeless or at-risk veterans per year, but they rely on organizations like Salute 2 Service to reach the thousands they are unable to reach on a local level.
- Veterans returning from duty in our community often have trouble finding employment or help for mental illness due to a lack of resources, leading them towards poverty and homelessness, a growing concern in Bucks County.
- Government resources are limited, and outreach programs at capacity, leaving a need for our community to band together to give our veterans the lives they deserve
